Heroes & Fantasies has proudly served the San Antonio local market since 1987! We pride ourselves in stocking the largest selection of comic books, toys, games, collectibles, novelties, apparel, and so much more! We strive to employ the most knowledgeable staff to help answer any questions you may have in order to help expand your favorite hobby. In addition to many special events throughout the year, we also house game rooms that can seat several hundred players for games like Magic, Pokemon, Yugioh, and Dungeons & Dragons. We currently operate 2 locations in the San Antonio area, one of which is the largest collectible shop in the state of Texas! Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) at Heroes & Fantasies has always been one of the best pop-culture events of the year in SA, but this year is special as we celebrate our first FCBD in our new super location on highway 281. It’s also May the 4th (aka, Star Wars Day), so be on the lookout for lots of announcements showcasing all the special festivities we will be hosting!

Local Partnerships & Community Outreach
Comic Books For Kids!
This is a special organization, dear to our hearts, where the comic book industry works together to provide comic books to children in hospitals and cancer centers around the country! We helped found this non-profit, and continue to support by donating comics and fundraising multiple times through out each year. Interested to get involved? Visit CB4K.org.
Blazing Gavels!
Blazing Gavels is the annual auction raising more than 50% of KLRN’s funding. They provide enriching programs for lifelong learning within the community, like Sesame Street. Heroes & Fantasies is the longest running donor helping to keep public broadcasting free in San Antonio. Click on the link above to find out more!

We are very passionate about our local community.
